GETTING STARTED COLLECTING BEER STEINS “Collecting beer steins, beer mugs, decanters, lidded or unlidded has become one of the fastest growing hobbies in America today,” says Robert Lamson of Bob Lamson Beer Steins Inc. in Allentown Pennsylvania. Many current hobbyists have thousands of steins in their collections. Some steins are issued as a single item, while others are issued as part of a series. Some steins issued in previous years at a cost of $20.00 are worth hundreds of dollars today. Many steins appreciate in value considerably.  If you have not yet begun your collection, it is still easy to start collecting today. Many steins issued in past years are still available.
